LV9R Surface Mounting Socket Assembly

Approved for unrestricted installation on LUL premises, including Section 12 locations, Blakley Electrics LV9R metal clad socket assemblies are manufactured in accordance with LUL specifications. They are designed to be fed from a 32A supply and installed on platforms and in other locations to provide supplies for cleaning apparatus and for general maintenance.

LV9R sockets are designed to achieve disconnection times on 110V circuits with a high earth fault loop impedance (Zs). To comply with all LUL requirements, the Blakley Electrics LV9R should be fed from our range of RCD protected 110V transformers as detailed in APR 2071 and APR2072.

Enclosure
The enclosure comprises of a surface mounting back box and a removable front plate. The back box is fabricated from mild steel sheet and finished in a white, LUL approved, electro-statically applied, polyester powder paint. The front plate is made from stainless steel with a brushed finish and incorporates a hinged cover with quick release fastener, which allows access to the RCBO operating dolly. The cover is finished in a yellow, LUL approved, electro-statically applied, polyester powder paint. The enclosure provides protection to IP55 and the front plate and MCB dolly cover are both gasketted. However, the overall rating of the assembly is IP44, due to the ingress rating of the 16A metal clad socket.

Equipment
Fitted with a 16A DP 30mA RCBO with C curve MCB protection and Type A RCD protection, which feeds a 16A 2P+E 110V IP44 metal clad socket to BS EN 60309-2. The RCBO is suitable for operation on 110V Reduced Low Voltage systems and complies with all requirements of BS7671 including the incorporation of overcurrent protection in both poles.
The terminals of the RCBO fitted within the LV9R assembly can accommodate up to a single 25mm² cable or can be used to loop-in and loop-out up to 2 no. 10mm² cables.
